For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/7rvqn75 From its professionally built 428 Cobra Jet V8 to its pristine Shelby interior and actual Cinema Vehicle Services body kit, this 1967 Eleanor GT is the ultimate dream car for any Ford fanatic, major movie buff or hardcore gear head! The build of this highly accurate Eleanor began with a trip to Cinema Vehicle Services, the same company that produced all the exterior pieces for the actual movie cars, where the owner purchased one of their complete, limited edition body kits. Once that kit was secured, Johnnie Cate Hotrod and Custom in Alcoa, Tennessee began a frame-off rotisserie reconstruction which stripped the car down to bare metal, completely restored its panels and covered its body in a smooth coat of Dupont 44490 Pepper Gray Metallic and Dupont 44435 Black Metallic. Pull the hood pins on this sinister Mustang and you'll find a lethal 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet V8 which has been bored .030 over and professionally rebuilt by Dwight Powell of High Performance Ford Engines in Dahlonega, Georgia. At the top of the jet black block, a coated Holley 4-barrel carburetor mixes fuel from fresh stainless fuel lines with air from a finned "Cobra" branded air cleaner and sends it into a correct 428 Cobra Jet intake manifold. At the sides of that black intake manifold, correct Cobra Jet heads, which were subjected to a performance valve job and equipped with hardened valve seats, are wedged between correct "Cobra" branded valve covers and tough TRW pistons that are wrapped in high quality Moly rings. At the front of that black intake manifold, a billet distributor sends spark from a Painless Wiring harness to fresh black plug wires which fire in sequence with a balanced rotating assembly that includes Clevite bearings, a Cloyes double roller timing set, a Crane hydraulic camshaft and hardened push rods. Cooling is provided by a Griffin aluminum radiator which is equipped with a front mount transmission cooler, two electric fans, correct FoMoCo hoses and a billet overflow tank; and lubrication is provided by a Melling high volume oil pump. Behind the rowdy Ford motor you'll find a fresh C6 3-speed automatic transmission, which was bolted in by Jonnie Cate Hotrod and Custom, in front of a professionally built driveline that was tweaked and finished by Street Rods by Michael in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Most of the actual movie cars were equipped with automatic transmissions, despite the chase sequence displaying a 4-speed car, and this Eleanor's stout C6 does a fine job of turning the engine to break neck speeds. However, RK Motors Charlotte will be happy to install a hydraulic clutch and a 5 or 6-speed manual of your choice for only $6,500. Whatever the drivetrain, an adjustable Air Ride Technologies Shockwave Level II suspension which utilizes blue Chassis Works tubular control arms and Wilwood four wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors is in place provide the kind of driving athleticism that can out maneuver anyone who might provide chase. At the corners of the car, correctly finished 17 inch PS Engineering wheels are wrapped in sticky 245/45 front and 245/40 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 radials. Open the car's Pepper Gray Metallic doors and you'll find a high quality vinyl interior which would look right at home in an authentic Shelby Mustang. At the center of the car, tightly pleated bucket seats sit at three sides of a traditional Cobra branded console which holds a small adjustment panel for the cars air ride suspension in front of chrome B&M Quick Silver shifter. At the front of the car, a spectacular looking black and silver dash holds Classic Instruments gauges above controls for the cars Vintage Air system and an MP3 compatible Custom Autosound stereo that rumbles through Boss Audio speakers. And in front of the driver, a polished aluminum and wood rimmed Lecarra steering wheel is bolted to a Flaming River tilt steering column. And behind the cockpit, a fully finished trunk houses a Fuel Safe fuel cell below hardware for the cars suspension system and a Taylor aluminum battery box. If you're looking for an instantly recognizable classic that's an absolute blast to own, this is your kind of car! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!

SOLD SOLD SOLD One Owner, Low Kms, Accident free, Canadian car. Factory Navigation, Factory Stripes, Heated and Cooled Seats, Power Seats, Mag-Ride Adjustable Suspension, Adjustable Exhaust, Different Driving Modes, Adjustable Steering Feel, This car, basically, is a science-fair diorama of nerdy engineering tricks and accomplishments. Since the Shelby wears the widest front wheel/tire package in Mustang history, it required extensive suspension-geometry reimagining. The suspension pickup points on the front knuckles were altered, decreasing kingpin offset, to restore steering feel. In a fit of OCD engineering, the team changed the rear springs from an identical wind to a mirror image of each other, recasting the lower perches to accommodate those now side-specific springs, very minutely improved performance on track. Previously, any Mustang that sported a differential cooler had to run plumbing all the way to the front of the car. On the GT350, the rear diffuser is molded to accommodate the diff cooler, which uses a pump to circulate fluid, and is fed by a pair of quasi-NACA ducts cut into the diffuser's underside. You'd never notice that unless you crawled under the car. But up front, easier to spot, is the carbon-fiber grille support. It's lighter and stiffer. What a Car!!!!!!! MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer yet another very special race car for sale to the general public; the 1990 Shelby Can-Am Race car you see pictured – and no proper Shelby collection would be complete without one! Can-Am stands for The CANadian-AMerican Challenge Cup, which was an SCCA/CASC sports car racing series. Except for the recently developed Shelby Series 1, the Shelby Can-Am race car is the only car constructed from a blank sheet of paper by Carroll Shelby and his design team. This car is #12 of only 74 cars ever built, complete with the original Shelby Log Book, miscellaneous documents and spares. This is a very special Shelby Can-Am as it is still currently in its original format. The car was purchased on June 14th, 1990 by RichardR.E” Crowell, who also raced the car. It was later purchased by Bob Johnson, a renowned Shelby Can-Am collector, who owned the car until 2013. The engine was rebuilt by MRE Power Products of Greenville, Florida in March of 2013 at a cost of $4,252, which we do have the receipts in hand for! The chassis was designed by Alan Burke and David Bruns, original body work was from the legendary Peter Brock, the transmission came from the Can-Am and Indy Car gearbox shop of Pete and Chris Weismann. John Fernandez, currently with the Chrysler Dodge Racing Program, oversaw the design and testing program from 1989 until 1993. The finish is brilliant red and not without a few cosmetic racing flaws but is still suitable as a collector car or as a Shelby museum piece. This is a true and authentic piece of racing history! The book, “Fast Days,” by Joel Jackson, explains in detail the story about the lessor known racing accomplishments of the Shelby Team in conjunction with Lee Iacocca and Chrysler Corporation. Chassis #12 is one of the 74 production chassis built from 1989 to 1993. Records indicate the car was originally purchased from Shelby Technologies/SCCA Enterprises in June of 1990 and the aluminum panels are in exceptional condition with many still having the original stickers attached. This Shelby Can-Am Race car is a single seat, mid-engine sports racer. It is powered by a Dodge Shelby JB-1 3.3L, electronic fuel injected V6 with 10.5:1 compression, a dry sump oiling system and capable of up to 250 horsepower (@ 6800rpm) and 230 foot pounds of torque (@ 5200rpm). Mated to the engine is a Shelby W4-1 4-speed manual transmission and 230mm single disc clutch. It also has rack & pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes with 4 piston calipers, double A-arm fully independent front and rear suspension with single adjustable shocks, a flat bottom chassis, front adjustable spoiler and rear adjustable wing. The former owner certified to us that engine has zero time on it since its major overhaul in 2013, with receipts included. It’s not every day a phenomenal race car, designed and built by Carroll Shelby, comes up for sale to the general public. Very few of these cars exist today. Most of the cars have made their way to South Africa where they are still raced today – at least 28 out of the 74 built are there! This car is in original format and would make a killer collector car or as a Shelby museum piece! This Shelby Can-Am is sold on a Bill of Sale and has no title or formal registration. It is intended to be operated only by qualified and properly trained drivers. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!!
